Morgan starred in an informational video Safe Sex for Men and Women about AIDS education and prevention. Morgan contributed a part of her income towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has been the driving force behind numerous fundraisers for the disease as well as testified in front of a specific Congressional committee on AIDS education. She serves on the board of Governors of APLA along with Amfar. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon general of Canada has requested her to take over his duties for a number of AIDS associated events. She also hosted an AIDS Awareness Special along with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice on Nightline on AIDS. Morgan was nominated to win an Emmy for her special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. Morgan co-starred on the ABC show Your Money or Your Wife alongside Joan Rivers. In the following week, she kicked off her summer season by appearing in Murder At The PTA Luncheon produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Also, it had Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. She then starred in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also in the psychological suspense thriller made exclusively for the USA Network garnering one of the highest ratings ever recorded by the network's history.
